Do Something Kind For a Friend

Here are five simple steps you can do to complete a kindness exercise for a friend:

1. Choose a friend: Think about someone you care about and want to show appreciation for.

2. Appreciate your friend: Spend a few minutes each morning for a couple of days simply thinking about your friend from a warm place without judgment.

3. Decide on a kind gesture: After reflecting on your friend, consider what you could do for them that comes from a genuine and loving place. It doesn’t have to be grand – even a small act like sending a card or making them dinner can be meaningful.

4. Take action: Do the kind act you chose for your friend.

5. Reflect on your experience: After completing the act, take some time to think about how you feel. Did doing something kind for someone else make you feel a bit better?

Consider:

  • This exercise is about showing kindness, not fulfilling what you think someone else needs.

  • Choose something that feels genuine and resonates with you.

  • The goal is to spread kindness and experience the positive feelings that come with it!
